This was my initial idea, to add a MiSTer FPGA internally to the Amiga X5000. While I plan on getting a PCIE development board using the upcoming Altera Agilex™ 5 SoC FPGA, the final version will utilize the Terasic DE-25 developer board with a high speed USB daughterboard. This was based solely on the price of the PCIE card.
Oh, the name came from a mock “band name” I gave my coworkers, that of Synth Enchilada, here’s the AI logo, inspired by Eric W. Schwartz. What can I say, I’m not an actual artist on the digital side of things, I’ll stick to other venues!
More to come on this project due to the high initial costs, but, as necessity is the mother of invention, onto the next projects:
